241 Superior Copper Compound is a leadfree lubricating compound formulated for high temperature applications. In addition, 241 Superior Copper Compound provides anti-seize performance required for breaking in new tool joints, lubricating drill collars, and sealing casing or tubing. Used in all areas of the petroleum industry—from drilling to production, from refineries to petrochemical plants—241 Superior Copper Compound may be used on all rotary shouldered connections. It provides protection against galling and seizing or damage to threads on drill collars and tool joints, even under the most demanding conditions, including the deepest, hottest wells. Compounds that contain heavy metals require wire brushing of threads to remove buildup. 241 Superior Copper Compound eliminates this need. When used on tubing and casing, 241 Superior Copper Compound provides a leakproof seal assuring consistent make-up torque. This superior compound is also effective when used on downhole production tools or pumping equipment.
